 Shawn Christopher Mooney

Shawn Christopher Mooney is an artist, creative professional, and experienced Executive Director/Administrator whose career bridges the worlds of art, entertainment, hospitality, and senior living.  Shawn has built his work around leadership, compassion, inclusion, and creating meaningful experiences for others.

From being the Executive Director for two buildings in Santa Monica, one memory care and one assisted living throughout the Covid atmosphere of 2020-2022 to running the Fountaingrove Lodge, the first LGBTQ Luxury CCRC in the United States. Shawn has championed person-centered care and LGBTQ+ inclusion, while participating as a presenter and panelist on issues including aging, diversity, equity and inclusion, and the changing needs of older adults. His leadership has been recognized by colleagues as thoughtful, encouraging, and deeply people-focused.

An artist and a leader by profession, Shawn brings creativity, authenticity, and a strong sense of community to everything he does. His career reflects a unique combination of artistic expression, executive leadership, advocacy, and a commitment to making the communities around him more welcoming and connected.
